Team UNO

Team UNO was established as a professional cycling team in 2004 to race at state, national and international level, and to wear, test and report on all UNO garments and experiment with different fabrics and designs, as part of our commitment to continuously develop and test garments. Team UNO 2004 competed in every major road race in Australia including the Tour of Sunraysia, the Sun Tour, the Grafton to Inverall, and the Melbourne to Warrnambool, and in the January 2005 Jayco Bay Classic Team UNO was led by Cadel Evans, formerly of T-Mobile who had just signed with Lotto to ride the 2005 European season. In 2005, UNO established the UNO-VIS Junior Development Squad to identify and support talented young riders, among them 15 year old Leigh Howard who was named 2005 Champion of Champions at the Australian Track Championships when he won all 6 out of 6 under 17 championships – a feat never before achieved - and broke two more Australian records. In August 2006, Leigh went on to win gold at the World junior track championships in Belgium. In the 2006 Bay Classic, Team UNO's lead rider Evan Oliphant won the five-day support race, backed up by three riders from the UNO-VIS Junior Development Squad: Alex Smyth, Aidan McInerney and James Langedyk, with Team UNO riders David Pell and Rhys Pollock competing in the elite race.
